The job description was for an HR Business Partner and detailed a “consultancy” approach with leaders, M&A activities and working with leaders. I joined the call, was asked why I was looking to make a change and I explained that I was seeking to operate as a strategic partner vs. communicating with leaders solely through a ticketing system. I was abruptly advised the job would not be a fit for me. I attempted to elaborate as the job description was an exact match with my experience and skillset. I used the example of workforce planning and being able to discuss and partner with the business leaders and collaborating with COEs. I answered that one question and the interviewed ended… the job description is not at all aligned to the job based on being told it wasn’t a fit because I was seeking a role where I would partner with the business. They posted a business partner role. I am assuming the incorrect job description was posted and they are seeking an entry level employee. I was wished good luck and the 4 min interview was ended after explaining that I wanted to operate as a strategic partner…
