Interview
First interview was with the hiring manager, then a call with the recruiter. Next was a 45 minute role play. I received very good feedback after my role play was done, yet didn't hear back from them for another week. After reaching out to the recruiter to ask what next steps were, I was told they wouldn't be moving forward with me. I was very surprised and the recruiter had no feedback for me.
They told me the interview process and it was exactly as they said. I am seeing more and more companies do mock / role playing. It is not fun but it seems to be the norm.

Interview
The interview consisted of a 30-minute phone screen with the hiring manager, a written assignment, and a three-hour panel interview with five Cloudflare employees. I was appalled at how Cloudflare handed the follow up. I was told it would be 2-3 weeks post-panel interview before I would have an answer (way too long in general!), and after 3 weeks of no response, I reached out to the recruiters for an update. No less than one hour later, I received an automated rejection email. Note to Cloudflare: don't be so disrespectful to candidates who spend 5 hours with your team. Provide feedback - interviewing is a two-way street! I can confidently say I will never apply to Cloudflare again due to this experience and ended up landing a much higher-paying role within cloud security. Thanks for saving me, Cloudflare!
