I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cintas (Valencia, CA) in Apr 2021
Interview
Location: Valencia, CA
The culture of this company seemed great. The employees appeared happy but there wasn't much interaction between them during observation day since it was about 5am. It was simply come to work, grab and go after you double checked and prepped what you needed for the truck that day.
Everyone who interviewed me was very friendly and nice. This should've been a huge indication that being picked for the position was almost too good to be true, which it was.
From the top...
I received an e-mail and phone call from their recruiter followed by a phone interview conducted by him about a week thereafter. It included the same general print out questions that are asked in a majority of interviews. After speaking with him, I spoke with a wonderful woman who also asked another series of what appeared to be print out questions. After our meeting, she set me up with the service manager who was also friendly and concluded the series of general questions which led to setting up observation day where you're required to go in and observe an SSR and what their day consists of.
Note: Due to COVID you had to follow along in your own vehicle to each stop the driver had to make but they have you complete a W4 for the reimbursement of gas.
During observation day, you have the opportunity to see and hear how they service and manage accounts for their route. The SSR was really informative and helpful with any questions I had about the company. At this point in the process, I was already helping and doing work most interviewees probably would be hesitant to do. After about 5hrs or so from 5am, I met the GM who was also very nice and professional along with the Regional Director via webcam. We went through a series of questions about my background, resume and how situations would be handled with accounts. I believed everything was perfect and I excelled at the "upsell" role play they requested me to do. About a week later, I received a "Regret Letter" e-mail from HR.
