Participated in the initial screen - about an hour phone conversation with the individual managing the search, during which it was explained the process was expected to take around 8 weeks.
About 2 weeks later, I was notified I was selected to complete position related assignment.
Two weeks after completing the assignment, I was scheduled for an interview with 2 peer staff members. I was informed the consultant would reach out to me and the final step would be an interview with the hiring manager. Noting a month had passed without a single update, I realized the position had likely been filled, but reached out to the consultant requesting an update. I finally received a response 4 days later, praising my participation in the interview process but confirming the rejection.
The biggest take away from the process - I am not impressed by an organization that expects candidates to complete an assignment early in the interview process but then drops the ball with updating candidates that the position has been filled.
