One-sided and ridiculously slow. I applied December of 2021, was contacted May of 2022, started actual interviews in July of 2022 and received my offer September 2022. I primarily interacted with an external recruiter, who was great, but obviously frustrated by the speed that the CPE team moved. The interviews themselves were mixed. The ICs I met with were great and got me excited enough to move forward with the process, but my experience with executive leadership was iffy at best. They lacked core values outside of "equity" and presented some inconsistencies that made me worry that they were disingenuous even about that. For example, they failed to follow even the most cursory best practices when it comes to equitable hiring (like frequently scheduling video interviews with 7 people panels) or even the legal requirements (like salaries transparency on their job postings). I also got zero 1:1 time with the hiring manager, and exchanged no more two sentences with them. My offer was ultimately much worse than expected and came with ridiculous stipulations - for example not being able to go on my 4 day pre-planned family vacation 2 months into the role because "my presence would be needed". I still chuckle thinking about that and that fact that they had the gall to tell me that the wanted my answer on their offer "ASAP" after a 9 month interview process.
