Even though it might be a cool start up with a lot of smart people, I did not get a good vibe from the interview with one of the sysadmins. I had an initial screen with HR and then went in for an in person interview. For the in person interview, I first met with the Director of Engineering (Skype) and then two sysadmins. The meeting with the Director was okay. He asked about my experience and then asked some questions regarding a network diagram. During the interview with the director, Skype was flaking out. I could not hear some of the things that the director said.
The interview took a bad turn when the two sysadmins came in. All I could think about during this phase of the interview was that I did not want to work here or work with one of the sysadmins. I did not get a friendly or good vibe from one of the sysadmins. He was not prepared for the interview. He kept rubbing his face when he was asking the technical questions like he was in distress. It was totally unprofessional. I did not get a feeling like I wanted to work in the environment or with that sysadmin. I would not say he was rude but he was not professional.
I do not think I would want to work here even if the company gave an offer.
