      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cartesian

      Interview

HR screening, video interview with manager/director (or 2), "case study" where you have to do the process mapping, then a panel interview. I withdrew my application, but 2 people I interacted with were very nice. Here's why I withdrew - the posting did have "BPMO" but as a preferred. I applied since I've always been told I learn fast than others, so I figured if they really want that, ah well. Well, their recruiter reached out and I made a point of letting her know that I don't have BPMO experience (I know OF it) but I have experience doing process mapping throughout my career. She said she'd note that and see if the management is okay with that. Sounds fair. To my surprise, she reached out again to schedule an interview with a manager and a director. The manager wasn't able to join which was fine. The director was nice - I did once again point out that I don't have BPMO experience and he didn't seem too concerned. Well, the recruiter sent me this "case study" that must be done in BPMO 2.0 and asked me to give her an idea when I can finish this so she can schedule a panel interview where I'd explain my logic to the panel. I've never been a fan of any "case study" during the interview anyway and this one was a monster - regardless of my BPMO knowledge, this one seemed like it'd require hours. Nowhere on my resume I have "BPMO" word anywhere and I made it clear to both people that I don't have BPMO experience, yet they went ahead and interviewed me then gave me a "homework" that REQUIRES BPMO. SMH. So needless to say, I withdrew.

      Question 1

How familiar are you with BPMO?

      Application

I interviewed at Cartesian (Kansas City, MO)

      Interview

There were four interviews if you count HR screening. With the four interviews I heard four different job descriptions. They don't know what they want in the role but they take people's time while they figure it out. After the four interviews, they asked to complete a BPMN exercise that must have been done by an intern. It had errors and was poorly formatted. This exercise took several hours to complete. It was not trivial. After sending in the exercise they went dark. No feedback. No response. It was probably for the better. I dodged a bullet. With an interview process like this, I suspect it's a toxic work environment. Good job Cartesian!

      Interview

There were multiple HR screening interviews, and then two interviews that focused on functional consulting and technical skills, Then they asked to complete an assessment that took about four hours to complete. After all of this, there was zero additional communication, feedback or even acknowledgement of the completed exercise. It's disappointing to be ghosted regardless of the outcome. A small gesture can bring closure. Hopefully this isn't an indicater of the larger culture but Cartesian does need to improve in candidate communication.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The interviews were conversational and they asked about my background and skill set. Very straightforward interviews with nothing surprising.
