I applied through a recruiter. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Cardinal Health (Tokyo) in Nov 2015
Interview
Was first was approached through Linkedin for the role.
During the initial phone screening I was asked some basic yes or no questions regarding experience with different tools and job boards. There was also about 5 minutes given for a quick Q&A session.
2 weeks later I met with 3 members of the team as a group interview, primarily lead by the manager of the team. The meeting itself was quite helpful and gave a lot of insight into the role and the company. They asked about the processes I used at my current and previous company and went indepth about what I would be looking for in the future. The main concern seemed to be my motivation for joining a this company that wasn't as "dynamic and exciting" as my current company. (currently working at a global tech company) Was asked many times about the move to Cardinal.
I sent all 3 members a follow-up email thanking them for their time but received no reply. (which is acceptable at this point)
After 1 week of no response, I sent the internal recruiter that initially contacted me asking about any updates. No reply.
After 1 month of no response, I sent yet another email asking for feedback. I got an reply to this a day later saying that they had found someone more suited for the opportunity.
All in all, there is no hard feelings for not been chosen but its definitely unacceptable not to hear anything and ignored from the internal recruiters for 1 month especially if there have been interviews involved.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are your greatest achievements at your current company?
It was pretty quick and simple. First, I had a phone screen with a recruiter where she asked about my work experience and comp expectations. Then, three 30-minute interviews with each of the directors. The interviews were conversational.

Interview
The process was rather smooth and the original Recruiter and Interviewers were amazing. The only part that was a huge let down was the Pre-Employment screening. I was offered a job and I accepted I was extremely excited! I’m a recruiter now and I love what I do, I just wanted better benefits. I knew my chances were less than the average because I have 2 Felonies from almost 12 years ago but I assumed since I have done so well and amazing recommendations and references that would prove who I am. Kicker - they would not even let me send them my references and recommendation letters. I asked several times as again I’m not the typical candidate their response “we don’t need them” The worst part is that the “reviewer” of this info did not even call me to ask me. Granted I did tell the original recruiter but according to her she doesn’t decide. I just could not imagine doing that. I personally review the backgrounds of candidates I hire I would never disregard someone who was given an offer without a conversation about their past. I guess that’s what they do at big corporations but my advice Cardinal would be when you have a strong candidate don’t be so closed minded because people who have been through it tend to be the strongest. I would still recommend this company and would encourage you to apply.
