I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Canvas (South San Francisco, CA) in May 2023
Interview
The first interview was good. They were very clear about what they need and excited that I have all the skills and more. Second interview seemed even more excited about my skill set. Told me I was the only one with the general knowledge they were looking for. Two days later I was rejected. Probably because of my age since I’m not fresh out of college.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What sort of KPI system have I used and how do I measure metrics.
Disorganized, unprofessional and disrespectful of my time. The first couple interviews were fine, but then the CEO disengaged and became busy with other matters.
They also requested a project without providing enough information to do so well. (A general note: this is an antiquated practice that few companies follow.) To cap it all off, they never scheduled time to follow up on it and discuss.
This was a very frustrating experience all around. Based on the interview experience alone, I lost interest in working at this company within a couple weeks.
