I applied online. I interviewed at CINC Systems in May 2026
Interview
Initial interview with recruiter went very well. Within about 15 minutes, I was told that I was being moved to the next round as I checked all of the boxes and met all of their requirements for this role. After not hearing back to schedule the next interview, I followed-up via email with the recruiter but received no response to those attempts. I finally received a very, very generic rejection email. No feedback and no reason as to why I was being rejected after being told I was advancing to the next round.
It was very transparent about the changes they are trying to accomplish to meet the next level of experience which is great to know from the beginning, and they are expecting someone to contribute externally and internally.
Several rounds of technical and panel interviews, including conversations with senior engineering leaders. Mix of formats testing practical and theoretical knowledge. Highly collaborative sessions requiring hands-on programming, whiteboarding, and clear communication of trade-offs, with interviewers generally supportive and open to questions about the role and company.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Paired interview focused on problem-solving. You’re given an ambiguous real-world issue and asked to explain your diagnosis steps, what data you’d check first, and how you’d propose a safe, practical fix.
