Me and 9 more candidates presented ourselves, told about our experiences and answered some specific questions about it. Then we started a coding dojo (randori). We had to write the back-end of Conway's Game of Life. Pretty easy, with the rules already laid out. I initially coded some unit tests, as I thought they would be appreciated, but the other candidates didn't follow and started coding the solution like crazy. I saw how unprepared they were and stayed calm, trying to communicate my rationale as well as I could (the interviewers repeated that communication was very important so many times that I was impressed at how no one else said what they were doing). I got the offer and have never seen any one of the other candidates again.

The technical interviews are terrible, Instead of questioning my experiences, coding expertise and/or problem solving skills they just ask a bunch of theoretical computer science questions that shows nothing of coding knowledge.
