      Difficult interview

      Application

The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Burns & McDonnell

      Interview

-spoke with a representative at the career fair -got an online interview (12 questions) -moved on to a face to face interview (everything paid) -like everyone says it’s a full day event, you have to present a power point, you speak to multiple people which can belong to multiple departments, they take you to lunch, and you also go on a tour -they do a follow up within two days but that’s not when I got my results -I got a call informing me that I didn’t get the role but was later on told that it was due to a job they lost that they were anticipated to have when I started (Jan, I graduated in December) so this resulted in a discontinuation in the hiring for December grads Overall this would be a dream job for anyone. Amazing benefits and people. Houston office is in the middle of the action. If you hate group projects bc u always have lazy teammates, this company will change your mind. you can tell just from the interview that this company is top of the line, inside and out.

      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Burns & McDonnell in Feb 2026

      Interview

This was for Global Facilities so mileage may vary for other interviews Interview process was short and sweet: 1) Talked to an engineer from the team at a university career fair 2) Had a 45 minute panel interview with 3 managers and an Sr. engineer (guy from career fair) - This interview was very casual and 3) Received an email saying I got an offer 4) Went in-person to receive the offer and meet the team Overall the Process from start (Career fair) to finish (getting the offer in person) took 3 weeks

      Interview questions [1]

      Interview

Single prerecorded interview, however during the process of me recording my interview my application was moved to be no longer under consideration. Clearly the recordings were not reviewed as I wasn't finished with them, disappointing for such a prestigious company.
