The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Burlington Stores (Saint Louis, MO) in Aug 2011
Interview
The phone interview was very pleasent.
The one on one I thought went very well.
After 2 weeks got an email stating they went with someone else.
Never think you got the job no matter how much you laugh and talk during the interview.
Cold called by a recruiter for a screening. It’s an urgent need. Needed me to interview with the DM that afternoon. Asked my pay range -
Said it would be difficult to say without understanding the job but it would be 80k+. Interviewed with DM that afternoon.
Set up an interview with the RVP the following Monday. He couldn’t join because of technical issues. Reset for the next morning. RVP, HR, and DM join. HR is driving and on camera and looking at the phone while moving. Geez.
Did the interview. They like me. Told the 95k - reasonable after visiting the stores in my area, the amount of time their DMs work, and the expensiveness of their benefits. That was too much, I guess.
I am guessing as I was ghosted after that interview even after follow up with the DM. Pretty unprofessional when I made time for 4 interview across 3 business days.
Additionally, everyone seemed by the seat of their pants, late for everything, took follow up to get benefit information from the recruiter. It was job just to get interviewed with them.
The entire process was unorganized, it felt as if there is a lack of communication with all levels during the process . Makes you wonder how they would let their team and stores manage they way the do
I interviewed at Burlington Stores (Minneapolis, MN)
Interview
met with the store manager and talked to many department managers, had a tour of the store - one interview that lasted about a 1/2 hour and received a job offer over the phone
