      Management Trainee Program Interview

      Mar 19, 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Burger King

      Interview

Contacted for 30 minute phone interview- mostly behavioral questions i.e. tell me about a time you had to get in someone's face. Afterwards, scheduled for a quantitative interview. Interviewer asked to describe supply and demand to a child and then asked a market-sizing question. NOT your typical quant interview but more like a case-in-point/consulting interview. Very unexpected/wasn't prepared for that.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How many whoppers are sold in the United States each day?

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Burger King

      Interview

Phone call interview. Interviewer asked behavioral and logic questions. The interviewer was very rushed and seemed distracted throughout the process. I was also asked to do a quasi-case, but it was not structured well and was awkward to do over the phone. Question involved a market study question on how to theoretically expand customer demographics.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

A frog is at the bottom of a 30 meter well. Each day he makes one 3 meter leap up the well. Exhausted, he then hangs there for the rest of the day. At night, while he is asleep, he slips 2 meters backwards. How many days does it take him to escape from the well?

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Burger King (Singapore) in Dec 2015

      Interview

The assessment centre was in a Business Game format where quick decision making, team work and presentation skills were tested. The process was not exactly stressful, but it was not easy to do well in the game. Burger King staff will observe you and gave comments during the business game. Some questions were quite challenging to answer on the spot. There is really no way to prepare for the business game, just come with confidence and some basic economic knowledge.
