I applied online. I interviewed at BrightWire in Jun 2022
Interview
I applied through glassdoor I remember, and had a zoom interview for 30 mins. I did not expect, but the person who showed up in the first round was the CEO of Brightwire so I was surprised. I don't think I did too bad and he said he will get back to me within a few weeks but he ghosted uptil now. It's been over a month.
I assume he was using a speaker phone and that made my speaking to howl back to my ears so I was VERY distracted and couldn't hear what I was saying. Bascially speaking like into vacuum chamber except that it's not the vacuum eating up my voice but the howling. I told him the audio system isn't working well but he didn't take any action.
I also emailed the HR because I saw another opening that seemed like my fit but they didn't answer that either. I don't think they have an actual HR department because I did not see any professionalism in HR process and seeing CEO in the first interview is pretty unusual.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Walk me through your resume
what was your favorite course and explain that to me
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at BrightWire (New York, NY) in Nov 2019
Interview
First interview over the phone, then a technical case where you write and article, followed then by an onsite interview. At the on-site I was asked various classic interivew questions, however, there was a technical component where you have to come up with an article title on the spot and then edit it.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BrightWire (New York, NY) in Dec 2017
Interview
Mid-Winter 2016, on-site interview. Lasted for about 3 hours, with a timed assignment.
Met with 3 different people, the office was cozy but incredibly hot. Great location but very start-up-like.
