I have an interview with BrightTalk as a Java Developer who is familiar with Spring MVC and Restful API. they sent me an assignment which was very easy without any complicated issue to send XML/JSON request and get a response to create and get user's information.
After I did the assignment and send it to the company I receive insulting feedback that I do not know about RestFul API but I am good at J2EE. I was just wondering about the relation of their assignment and J2EE programming!!!. I asked them for detailed feedback that the reason why they think I do not have any experience on Restful API but they never send me an email as feedback.
I want to criticize the way of their response. First of all, if we suppose that I do not have any Experience on Rest why the assignment code work perfectly and how can I develop it within 2 days with the expected answer and unit tests. Second of all, based on my experience, most of the time insulting feedbacks are from those who have limited knowledge regarding the issue to hide their own weaknesses. So I suggest it's better for the company to change its approach or way of responding especially the feedbacks and also re-evaluate their technical team who judges other technical candidates with newer standards in coding and programming.
