I applied through university. I interviewed at Bridgewater Associates (New York, NY) in Jul 2020
Interview
Very conversational and casual, questions geared specifically at how I operate in a team environment as a coworker and colleague. Also heavily tuned towards my interests and what I look for in a company

Interview
The interview process was disorganized and frustrating from start to finish. Communication was poor — I often had to follow up multiple times just to get basic updates. The interviewers seemed distracted and unprepared, and in some cases, it felt like they hadn't even read my resume.
The questions asked were either overly vague or had nothing to do with the actual role. There was no clear structure to the rounds, and expectations were never explained. At one point, I was told I'd be moving forward, only to get ghosted entirely afterward.
Overall, the experience felt like a waste of time. It left me with a negative impression of the company’s internal coordination and respect for candidates.
Let me know if you'd like this rewritten to target a specific company (like Walleye Capital), or to reflect a particular issue (e.g. technical questions being irrelevant, excessive delays, rude interviewer, etc.).

Interview
Final round included individual and group debates on a variety of issues, particularly related to tradeoffs between different stakeholders, ethics, philosophy, etc. Definitely a more unique interview process than that of other similar firms.

Multiple rounds of zoom (both group and solo) and written assignments. The people were friendly, especially given the industry, but the prompts for the written assignments were a bit strange.
