Obviously they wanted to see how you would think, but I was insulted they wanted to see my thinking process for a question that one can search on Google for more accuracy.

I was encouraged to think aloud, ask clarifying questions, and summarize my approach at each step. The conversation ended with time for my questions about the role and team culture.
