I had several remote interviews via Zoom, which were each scheduled for less than an hour. In total, I met with at least six people remotely. This process was as smooth as it could be. Following that process I met with two people in-person (COVID rates were low at that point and I felt perfectly safe). I was one of two final candidates for the position and enjoyed the process. However, following such a significant investment of my time no one from their staff reached out to notify me that I was not selected.
A few months later I began receiving fundraising appeals from Boston Children's, despite never having donated to them in the past. I don't think that this is malicious, per se, but I don't think that it's appropriate for job seekers information to be added to fundraising databases. I work at a different health care organization now, and there is absolutely no way that we would do that.
