Boeing did not do an HR screen or phone screen. My initial point of contact with the company after dropping my resume was an email from the hiring manager for the position who arranged a time for me to come to the Boeing offices for an interview. Boeing interviews are very straightforward STAR interviews and mine was done with someone from HR and the hiring manager, and I was told in advance what type of questions to expect, although not how many or specifically what questions. The interview format is very structured and whiel they may sometimes ask follow-up questions or request more detail, there isn't much time for the interview and so they really ask the questions one after another. Two and a half weeks went by with no contact from Boeing after my in-person interview, and then the hiring manager emailed me and asked to set up a time to speak on the phone. The appointment was for another 4 days out and once we were on the phone, it took him just a few minutes to tell me I didn't have the job. I would have rather heard that by email because I interrupted my schedule for the workday to accommodate the call.
