I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Boeing (Mesa, AZ) in Jun 2016
Interview
Panel interview with three people, very relaxed, lasted about 45 minutes. Everyone is friendly and each panel member takes a turn asking questions. Answer at a moderate pace because the panel takes notes during your response. They took time to talk about the company and the role that the position I applied for would be expected to perform.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Boeing (Saint Louis, MO) in Sep 2015
Interview
After having applied for the position in late June 2015- I received a call from a Boeing recruiter in late August to set up a phone screening. It took a few attempts to get a hold of the recruiter as I was not available when the recruiter first called. The phone screen was quickly scheduled and only took about 15 minutes. The phone screen consisted of asking a few qualification questions and salary requirements. Within a week-and-a-half I was contacted by the same recruiter to set up a telephone interview. The telephone interview was set for 45 minutes but only took about 30 as the hiring manager and two of his peer managers took turns asking 5 STAR questions. A few days later I personally received a call from the hiring manager stating they were moving forward with two other candidates for an in person interview.
I will add that the phone interview was very impersonal as they do not ask you any questions about yourself and it is very hard to interject your personality. They briefly tell you about the position and then cut right to the chase of asking the questions and give no feedback as to how you did. While I'm not a fan of their telephone interview, I really appreciated the hiring manager personally calling to tell me that they were moving forward with others. Also, I felt like a couple of the interview questions did not really correspond with the actual position.
