      Software Engineer Interview

      Oct 13, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Kirkland, WA
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bluetooth SIG (Kirkland, WA) in Mar 2011

      Interview

      - standard phone screen with HR - phone screen with hiring manager - loop with hiring manager and 4 others on the team and in complimentary teams It was pretty standard and efficient. I started with HR and the hiring manager and then talked to the hiring manager at the end of the day too. The questions weren't really that hard. it was quite unclear at first what the team did and what the true scope of the role was. It made more sense when the CMO at a company meeting (he since left) gave a strategy overview. I think it would be good if the engineering leadership new it as well so that they could help current employees, and in my case, potential new hires feel really good and clear about what the organization and priorities were. It took me a while to figure this out and the CMO's overview really helped. He seemed like the only person who had a clear plan and mission. The ED/CEO kind of rode on his coattails and it's showed since the CMO left.I think this hurts recruiting new talented people to the engineering team (and probably the whole organization).

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bluetooth SIG (Kirkland, WA) in Feb 2017

      Interview

Application I applied through LinkedIn. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bluetooth SIG Inc. (Kirkland, WA). Interview Screen call. 30 minute Phone interview. 3 rounds of onsite in-person interview including 6 persons. 4 hour process All my interviews went well including technical and manager round. After 4 rounds they said the HR is busy in some meeting and will get back to you. But when i didn't heard from them even after 3-4 days, then i sent an email to HR for the update/feedback...but weirdly she didn't replies anything. I waited for few more days, then again i sent a gentle reminder and also called on her number but no one answered the call. It was weird experience.
