I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Blue Apron (New York, NY) in Apr 2014
Interview
I'm no foolish candidate and It was clear the company had no intention of hiring me and that the hiring manager set up a phone interview for the sole purpose of tapping into my recruiting knowledge. In fact, the job description was changed immediately after the phone interview and included practically verbatim...what I would do to attract top talent to Blue Apron.
In addition, the company has even eliminated 2 questions that were requested as part of the online application process immediately after my phone interview: 1) Describe one innovative way you would attract talent to Blue Apron. 2) Discuss a specific and important quantitative result you’ve achieved in your career to date. Since Blue Apron is so disingenuous in its treatment of candidates - imagine working for such an organization.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Blue Apron
Interview
The interview was insightful, I was able to learn more about Blue Apron's headquarters and fulfillment centers and also how the food is shipped all over the country. I also was given information on how the technical recruiting team is comprised and their tech stack. After the (2) interested phone interviews and alluding to have an in person interview, there was no follow up at all. It left me feeling confused with mixed messages on next steps.
