I applied online. I interviewed at BlackRock in Jun 2021
Interview
I had a total of 3 rounds of interview. The first two lasted about 40 minutes to an hour and were pretty standard. They asked me about my experience and then discussed the role. The third was almost 2 hours, the first hour of which was mainly an interrogation vs an interview. The interviewer did not review or ask for my qualifications but instead asked me to recite legal clauses from contracts by memory. After an hour had gone by, the others joined the call and proceeded to have a regular type of interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Other than reciting legal language, it was mostly basic questions about types of experience, workload, working under pressure, etc.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at BlackRock (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2014
Interview
Contacted by BlackRock recruitor out of NY office. Interview was scheduled with two other paralegals about 2 weeks after initial contact. Scheduled for lunch-hour. Very disorganized and nerve-racking. Admitted at meeting this was first time reviewing resume.

Question 1
Silence. The interview felt as if they were going through the motions, that it was not real, and there was never any genuine intention of consideration. Very frustrating.
