The interview process was extensive — I first met with the recruiter, followed by the hiring manager, and then submitted references. From there, I met with several additional team members, including a group panel, the CRO, and another VP — close to seven interviews in total.
Ultimately, I was informed they decided to move forward with another candidate whose background was more closely aligned with their needs. While I still think highly of the company, I was disappointed by the pace of the process and the limited follow-up questions that could have provided an opportunity to clarify my fit and impact.
Given the number of conversations and the recruiter’s questions around salary expectations and potential start date, I had anticipated that an offer might be forthcoming. It was a valuable experience overall, though I had hoped the decision on alignment would have been reached earlier in the process.
