Be prepared to do a discovery call with the hiring manager. The job description detailed they want a “Challenger Sale” approach. The hiring manager actually wanted what the Challenger approach says not to do on the discovery call: BANT & the Spin Selling approach with lots of questions upfront. Based on the interaction, I can only conclude the hiring manager hadn’t read the Challenger Sale himself. If you haven’t read it, for your interview prep, turns out it’s not necessary. The scheduled time of the hiring manager interview was an hour, the hiring manager was late & left early after ~25 minutes.
