I spoke with a Publisher about the opening, then was put in touch with the regional manager, and off to training I went. Really the company is looking for a very specific type of person. You have to be self-motivated, a good communicator, and resilient. If you are easily distracted and not willing to put in hard work, it isn't the right job for you, and the regional manager was great at discussing some of the realities.

Being able to work without pay for an undisclosed period of time was important, so they asked how comfortable I was with that. They wanted to know how I felt about meeting local business owners, and if I was comfortable working on my own hours without a set schedule.

Information was layed out in a concise and direct way which I appreciated. All of my questions were answers very directly and concisely as well. The people I interviewed with were very nice as well.

Q: What do you understand about the baseline of the newspaper and how benefits correspond with meeting said baseline?
The process consists of two phone calls initiated by the recruitment team, the first one is for initial screening and the second one is more focused on the job role, compensation, benefits etc.

Interview
The interviews were quite prompt. They started simply with getting to know you out of the way and lead right into acknowledging the passive connections between obtaining a primarily remote working job. On the second interview, the conversation is taken into how qualities come up about selling advertiments and working with the company, this especially resonate with the Productivity Coach lead conversation on the third call whom establishes what it will take from you once you start selling and obtaining agreements in your work. It works both ways.
