I applied through other source. I interviewed at Barclays (Glasgow, Scotland) in Apr 2018

      Interview

The interview for a summer internship came on the last day of a Spring Week in Glasgow. Candidates were asked whether they wanted to apply for the technical or emerging technologies stream. In addition to the interview, which took around 45 minutes, candidates were also judged on a group presentation.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Barclays (London, England) in Apr 2015

      Interview

I was chosen to attend spring week and then invited to an interview for the summer internship after. For the spring week, after filling in the application and doing the online tests, I was invited to a telephone strength-based interview. After this, my whole application was reviewed and I was invited to a second interview, after which I had secured a place on the spring week. During the spring week, they were monitoring all the interns and at the end we were told whether or not we had been invited to a fast track summer internship interview for the next year. I went back for my interview a couple of weeks later.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

There were two different interview, one was technical and the other was motivational. The motivational one was the usual interview questions and the technical one was just testing my core knowledge of computer science concepts, algorithms etc. I was not asked to write any code as this was a fast track interview so it was 7 months before other people would be having their interviews and I wasn't in my penultimate year of university yet. The interviewer basically kept asking me questions until I had exhausted all of my knowledge on a particular topic.
