Field Engineer Completions and Liners - Graduate Trainee Program Interview

      Feb 4, 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Houston, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Baker Hughes (Houston, TX) in Sep 2021

      Interview

The final selection event started by giving a brief presentation about yourself. After introductions, it was a group evaluation process with several other candidates. They had us play interactive/cooperative games together. One game involved being given a puzzle that needed to be solved and a puzzle solver that did not correspond to your own puzzle. You had to work with the other candidates to solve each others puzzle. The second game was a what would you do scenario. The candidates were asked what response they would pick for a specific scenario. Each person chose a response that was visible to the other candidates and we took turns explaining why we chose the scenario we did and also attempted to convince others to change their mind and pick the same response as you. After the games, there was a private interview with managers. This private interview was similar to a standard 1 on 1 interview where the ask questions about your experiences and follow with a few required STAR based questions. This final selection event was a 1.5 day event with the first day being the about me presentations and the introduction to all the hiring business units and managers. The second day was a full day with the evaluations and interviews.
