I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Bain & Company (Boston, MA)
Interview
I applied through my college career center website , got invited to interview on-campus.
First-round interviews consist of two 30-minute back-to-back interviews with two Associates.
Interviewers were very nice, and made me feel at ease. The cases were purely mathematical, with very little business insight required (not expecting that at all). If you were good at math and kept calm, you would pass the first round easily.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The qustions were not very difficult. The first one required me to estimate revenues and profits for a family-owned restaurant wanting to open a second branch in a town nearby. Second case was about a high-end luxury watch manufacturer in New England considering whether to enter the affordable watch market.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Bain & Company (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2025
Interview
I applied in early to mid July 2025 and received the invitation to the first round interview in mid September. The process was two rounds. The first round was a 1-hour interview with two back to back 30 minute case interviews. The second round was a longer 2 hour interview with a mix of behavorials as well as harder case studies. I got denied after the first round.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They gave me two case studies. One was a basic profitability case and the other was a market entry case.
The set up was two case interviews, no behavioral component. They did not ask any personal questions and the cases were back to back. Mine was virtual and over zoom.
There are 2 Rounds of interviews:
1 Round: 2* 40-minute case interview with an associate consultant
2 Round: 3 case interviews with one focusing more on fit/behavioral interview with partners or managing directors
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Case interviews are more about profitability and market-entry and market sizing
