I applied in-person. I interviewed at BJC HealthCare (Saint Louis, MO) in Sep 2016
Interview
Recruiter called me and we set up a phone interview. 40 minute phone interview went very well, I was very prepared and thorough and lady was nice. She ended with stating that she would email me information regarding my unit interview later in the day. (She even gave me directions and went through salary in detail) I patiently awaited an email that never came. I called after 2 days to leave a voicemail respectfully asking to please advise if position was still available as I had not received said email. Never heard back...until 2 weeks later the same recruiter called AND emailed wanting to know if I wanted to interview for the same position (the one I had already interviewed with her for!) While it really annoyed me that she had clearly forgotten that we had already spoken, I responded with both phone call and email and again, never heard back. Uh, what?! have no respect for a company who doesn't have the decency to respond and actually goes out of the way to deliberately ignore candidates. How unprofessional and disappointing.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at BJC HealthCare (Saint Louis, MO) in Jul 2020
Interview
Found them at a virtual job fair. The recruiter was excellent and I loved the floor. I got an appointment for an interview with two floors and both the interview went similarly well! Very difficult questions but overall to rest your critical thinking and past experience. After the interview, they offered me the job on the spot! They gave me a tour of the unit and it was so fun to meet everyone. I wish I could have jotted down the names!

It was easy and straightforward. There was a panelist of mangers interviewing me. It was intimidating when i first walked in. However they made me feel comfortable. Be prepared to answer several questions

Interview
I was given clear instructions on how to get into the hospital complex, where to park, and where to pick up my visitors pass. SLCH has a very strict visiting policy, you will not be allowed to navigate the hospital without first checking in. They ask, who are you? Where are you going? and who are you here to see? I had a panel interview and it went pretty well. The team from this department was pretty down to earth, and seemed genuinely interested in getting someone who would be a good fit of the position. I was asked backs PALS questions- getting the questions wrong were not punitive, more so show the educator where I was and how she could help me during orientation. After the interview, they were timely with regards to giving me answers where they were in the hiring process, and if I was still being considered for the position. This is very nice since some places don't even bother to tell you you are no longer in the running.
