The hiring process at BF&M takes an average of 7 days when considering 2 user submitted interviews across all job titles. Candidates applying for Project Manager had the quickest hiring process (on average 7 days), whereas Project Manager roles had the slowest hiring process (on average 7 days).
The HR did not lead the interview so was uncomfortable. HR seemed to not have much experience doing interviews, strongly recommend they get some more experience on their HR Team. Reporting manager was nice
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at BF&M (Halifax, NS) in Feb 2021
Interview
Recruiter was great and has sent me a number of roles. I was setup with a panel interview with a 2 VP's and the PMO lead. The interview was over Teams and it felt like everything went great. This company was described to me as fantastic in regards to work life balance, I have friends who work there as well and even they say it's a great work life balance.
Interview was pretty standard for a Project Manager role. Asked a number of questions that tested skills and dug into the meat of the role.
Apparently leaving your current employer because you want work life balance however is a hard stop. At least for myself. I was passed over for the role because my statement about work/life balance wasn't well received. I take this as a HUGE red flag now that I reflect on it if they pass over your entire skillset because you want to have work/life balance. AVOID!
