There were too many interviews, four in total. I was happy to meet all the folks, but I was also ready to get to work. I got an offer, but could not sign the NDA. There's a loophole in the NDA that says that any computer I use can be monitored, and and my network can be monitored and recorded. They intended that to mean in their buildings and on their computers, I'm guessing, but it's not clearly specified. I have other customers, and my wife also works from home. They should not have access to those files because the NDA is written poorly. I asked for a shorter, clear NDA that simply protected their confidential information (which I have no intention of either knowing or divulging), and was refused. Truly unfortunate. I was excited about the work and the team, but in this modern security climate... They shouldn't be hiring someone who would sign that, as-is. Frankly, my refusal to sign that should have been the interview.
