I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Atomic FI in Oct 2025
Interview
Pros:
The Head of Engineering reached out directly, and he seemed like a genuinely great person — super down-to-earth and easy to talk to. The company itself seems like a really cool place with interesting problems to solve and a solid culture.
Cons:
During one of the interviews, I struggled to understand one of the engineers because he had a very thick accent and spoke quietly/mumbled. It made it tough to understand the questions, so it probably looked like I didn’t know the answers at first — even though I did once I got clarification. Would recommend that Atomic make sure interviewers speak clearly and project their voice a bit more, just so candidates can put their best foot forward.
Overall:
Seems like a great company with smart people and a good culture. My only suggestion would be to make sure communication during interviews is clear so candidates aren’t at a disadvantage due to audio or language barriers.

Interview
Meeting with Recruiter, Manager Meeting, Team Technical Interview, Follow through with Recruiter. Didn't really mess around, and enough for a Senior Level position. Know what your talking about, and you'll be fine.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Atomic FI (New York, NY) in Sep 2021
Interview
4 or 5 interviews. Basic questions and DSA coding challenges in two meetings. Overall a good experience and never felt belittled or looked down upon by the engineers interviewing me.
