I applied online. I interviewed at Atlassian in Mar 2021
Interview
applied online > received recruiter call > made me wait a week > scheduled tech screen > tech screen. The tech screen was pretty average, make an app from scratch that calls to a remote JSON API. I chose to interview with this company because of their "good" reviews, but beware. I was able to complete the task asked in the tech screen. The two other developers interviewing me didn't seem interested just going through the motions. I asked a few questions at the end and one even gave the response to "what are your favorite things you like about the company" as "I enjoy the maternity benefits" this is not something you should say to a female applicant (also not believable coming from a male) very obnoxious interviewers.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Atlassian (Sydney)
Interview
I got contacted on Linkedin. First phone screening, then two rounds of technical interview on pair programming and general iOS questions. Final round is about culture fit with the team. The entire process took about 3 months. The interview got a bit delayed due to my schedule and WWDC conference. It went pretty smooth and the HR is very informative and helpful about what it's like to work in Atlassian and what to expect on each step of the interview. I enjoyed talking to the engineers and managers too. Due to personal reasons I can't take the offer. But it feels a very positive and welcoming environment.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Many questions on TDD, architecture, multi-threading and event handling. No big surprise, focus on the basics of iOS and Cocoa Touch frameworks.
