Disorganized, Misleading, and Unprofessional Hiring Process
Pros:
The organization has the potential to make a real impact on the community.
Some individual employees (like recruiters) genuinely try to be helpful.
Cons:
Extremely Disorganized Hiring Process – The hiring process took several months with multiple interviews, inconsistent communication, and sudden changes to the role. Candidates were left in the dark for weeks at a time, and key updates were often found out through personal connections rather than the organization itself.
Lack of Transparency – After multiple interviews, the responsibilities of the role completely changed without notice.
Poor Communication & Unprofessionalism – The hiring manager ghosted candidates for weeks, only for applicants to later find out that offers were made to others who declined before they were re-engaged. There was little regard for applicants’ time, and the process felt unorganized and misleading.
Questionable Leadership & Internal Dysfunction – Based on my experience and conversations with others, it’s clear this organization struggles with internal communication and decision-making. If they treat candidates this way, I can only imagine what it's like working here.
Advice to Management:
Fix your hiring process. Candidates deserve clear communication, timely responses, and transparency about job expectations.
Respect applicants' time.
Take accountability. If multiple candidates have the same bad experience, the issue isn’t the candidates—it’s your process.
Bottom Line:
I had high hopes for this organization, but after this experience, I would never apply again and would not recommend it to others. If you value stability, professionalism, and a functional work environment, look elsewhere.
