The video interview was asynchronous, so I recorded my answers rather than speaking to a live person. After a short practice question to test audio and camera, I got a set of timed prompts one by one. For each question you get a short period to read and prepare, then a limited time to record your answer, and once you submit you cannot redo it.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions were mainly competency and motivation-based, like why Arup, why this role, a time I worked in a team, dealt with a challenge, handled conflicting deadlines, or communicated something technical to a non-technical audience. They are looking for clear structure, evidence from real examples, and a calm professional delivery rather than perfect polish.
Online questionnaire followed by in person panel interview. The interview was mainly behavuoural and personality focussed with some mock situation questions. No technical questions asked and the interview was peofessional but not much pressure.
