I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Applify (Mohali, Punjab) in Jan 2017
Interview
- It started with entering a huge hall with meagrely spaced desks with a couple of meeting rooms in the far end with dusty furniture and poorly painted walls.
- The HR asked me to fill some forms with info that was already mentioned on my resume.
- Surprisingly I was asked to give a compulsory English language test which I had to score well on before my interview. This seemed to be a new practise to me being an experienced professional.
- Despite my interview being scheduled by the HR only, I had a long wait before the interviewer could be available.
- From early on, the interviewer was highly opinionated about females working in software industry as non-professional and who are unable to handle work pressure and high level positions in a startup.
- The interview questions were mostly basic ones and about work practices in my current company.
- The interviewer used n number of internal assessment papers.
Some things that I noticed:
- The place has no parking facility. If you join, you have to park your vehicle on the road 'at your own risk'.
- The company website mentions having registered offices at a couple of foreign places. However those seemed to be some kind of firms that source their client projects.
