My interview experience with AppInventiv was one of the most inefficient hiring processes I’ve encountered.
The process stretched over a month and involved multiple rounds of interviews, including assessments and in-person discussions. At one stage, I was asked to come to the office and spend most of the day there under the impression that the remaining steps would be completed together, but the process kept getting delayed due to internal scheduling issues.
It’s also worth noting that this was for a senior role, not an entry-level or executive leadership position that would justify such an unnecessarily long and exhausting process.
After investing significant time across several rounds and completing their assessment, the final response was that the role did not fit within their budget and hiring was being frozen.
This raises a simple question: was the budget not known earlier in the process?
Running candidates through an extended interview cycle only to reject them for budget reasons reflects poor planning and a lack of respect for candidates’ time and effort.
Overall, a frustrating and disappointing experience.
