I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AppLovin (Palo Alto, CA) in Aug 2015
Interview
Recruiter reached out to me. I went through a phone interview followed by an onsite interview. The process is pretty smooth. People are very nice. I met with 3 people in the onsite. They asked about general iOS coding questions (memory management, etc) and general cs questions.

Other IOS Developer interview reviews for AppLovin
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at AppLovin
Interview
Messaged the recruiter Amery on LinkedIn and received a response immediately. Phone interview was set up promptly and talked about iOS/Objective-C stuff. Everything went well and I was invited on-site.
Onsite was great - spoke with two employees who would be potential team members, and the VP of Engineering. All were very friendly and I had a great time here.
Piece of advice for AppLovin - don't be afraid to go a bit off-script for the interview to get to know your candidates and let them get to know their future co-workers. That's an advantage in the interview process that you have over larger tech companies, and I imagine candidates will find great value in familiarizing themselves more with who they will be working with.
Other advice - potentially review the processes by which resumes are reviewed. I applied and was given a rejection email (didn't see it until much later), but when I messaged the recruiter directly she said I was a great fit and started the interview process.
