I went through multiple rounds of interviews with the company and invested significant time in the process. Before applying, I had come across similar feedback on Glassdoor regarding delays and lack of communication, but I chose to give the process a fair chance. Unfortunately, my experience ended up reflecting many of those concerns. Timelines communicated (24–48 hours for feedback) were not adhered to, and there were repeated follow-ups with limited clarity. Communication largely remained indirect through the consultant, with no clear ownership of updates. One aspect that stood out was the inconsistency in evaluation. The role itself has been open for a while and is a fixed-term (one-year maternity cover), yet a significant focus during discussions was on why a candidate would consider a contract role. This created some misalignment between the nature of the position and the evaluation criteria. Additionally, there seemed to be sensitivity around follow-ups — after a period of silence, checking in for updates appeared to be perceived negatively rather than as a normal part of candidate engagement. Towards the end, there were mixed signals indicating that the process might still be active; however, a formal rejection was only communicated after I had conveyed my decision to move ahead with another opportunity due to the lack of clarity on timelines. From a candidate experience standpoint, clearer communication, consistent evaluation criteria, and timely closure would significantly improve the process.
