Interview Process: The interview process was extensive, spanning over 20 days, and consisted of four rounds: Technical Round: The initial round focused on assessing my technical skills relevant to the position. Assignment: Following the technical round, I was given a practical assignment to complete. This tested my problem-solving abilities and practical application of my knowledge. Manager and HR Discussion: The final round involved a face-to-face interview with the manager and HR at their office in Bengaluru. This round was comprehensive and covered various aspects, including my assignment, fit for the team, and overall suitability for the role. Salary Negotiation: After completing all rounds, we had a salary discussion. Unfortunately, there was no room for negotiation. The company had a fixed salary offer, and candidates were required to accept it or be dropped from consideration. Pros: Thorough Evaluation: The multi-stage process allowed for an in-depth assessment of my skills and suitability for the role. In-Person Interaction: Visiting the office and meeting the team in person provided valuable insights into the company culture and work environment. Professionalism: The interviewers were professional and provided a clear understanding of the role and expectations. Cons: Lengthy Process: The entire process took over 20 days, which felt quite long and could potentially be streamlined. No Salary Negotiation: The fixed salary offer with no room for negotiation was disappointing, especially after investing significant time and effort into the interview process. Suggestions: Discuss Salary Early: It would be beneficial for the company to discuss salary expectations at the beginning of the process. This would save time for both the candidates and the hiring team and ensure there are no surprises at the end. Flexibility in Salary: Offering some flexibility in salary negotiations could help in attracting and retaining top talent. Clear communication regarding salary structures and potential for growth could improve candidate satisfaction. Overall Experience: Despite the length of the process and the inflexibility in salary negotiation, my overall experience was positive. The thoroughness of the interview process gave me confidence that the company is committed to hiring the right talent. I appreciate the effort and professionalism of the team throughout the process.
