Interview
I was contacted via phone for an interview. I had an in person interview because I live in the city that I interviewed for. There was a panel interview with 4 interviewers. The interviewers were very friendly and professional.

Question 1
1. Tell me about a time that you had to successfully or unsuccessfully convince a team, manager or supervisor to accept your idea or suggestion. 2. Tell me about a time when you had to work with a team to effectively get a project done. 3. Tell me about a time that you didn't have effective communication at work and how did you handle it. 4. How would you handle working in various weather climates. 5. Are you currently certified of licensed from another railroad company. 6. Have you had any railroad license decertifications in the past 36 months. 7. What type of ppe are you familiar with wearing at work. 8. Why do you want to wok for Amtrak, why do you want to be a passenger engineer. 9. What railroad territories are you qualified to operate on.
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amtrak (Elmhurst, IL) in May 2019
Interview
Interview was somewhat standard for the industry
Interviewed buy a 4 person panel but didn’t feel pressured or rushed thru the process only thing I didn’t care for was the time it took for the final verdict. Which was 5 days.

Interview
I applied online filling in my experience and submitting my resume. Received an online test then was called in for an interview. The interview panel consist of a person from human resources, Road Foreman and a union local chairman from transportation department.
