I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at American Eagle Outfitters (Brentwood, CA) in Jun 2012
Interview
I came in to fill out an application and was hired on the spot. What they wan to know is that you can customer service, and multitask. You typically will be working as a cashier, fitting rooms, and helping customers on the floor as well. American Eagles motto that you learn on your first day of work is 'customer first'.

It was very easy as I knew someone who worked there. They got me an interview and asked me basic questions. They verbally gave me an offer on the spot and I got a offical offer a week later.
