I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at American Eagle Outfitters (Cincinnati, OH) in May 2013
Interview
Day 1.
When you submit your resume in person they will probably have you take an OAD test. They say it doesn't matter how you answer in accordance to getting the job; but it does. You need to answer as truthfully and confidently as possible. If you are not an outgoing person, you probably shouldn't work here. After you are done they will go over the test with you and schedule an interview or say they will call you later.
Day 2. (Interview)
It was very laid back and mellow. I was mostly asked about what my personal style was and why I loved the AE brand. They are big on customer service at American Eagle, so talk about all the ways that you will put the customer first and anticipate their needs. The only tricky question they asked was "What job would be most like what your doing here?" (Ringing people out, grabbing stock checks) the answer was server, because you're constantly running around grabbing things for multiple people at a time. My interviewer basically answered the question for my though. To work here you should be very versatile. While giving the best customer service possible you will be busy with other tasks and projects that have time limits. Multitasking is a must have skill here. Overall the interview is pretty easy!
