I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at American Cancer Society (Oakland, CA) in May 2008
Interview
First round was a phone interview - basic general questions about background, probably to get a sense of if you have meet the general prereqs and are pleasant. Next was a panel interview. This was awkward - the questions, that is. They are more oriented toward what you would do in certain situations, such as if you're faced with a difficult situation. The questions were geared more towards your personality and how you handle situations, rather than focusing on your skills and background.

Interview
recruiter contacted me within a couple days of submitting my application. he explained the job and what would be expected. he was really friendly and put me at ease. asked questions about my experience and motivation. got feeling he was really trying to get to know me and not just ask questions off a list. good experience.

Question 1
How to handle someone who is not following organization policy.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at American Cancer Society (Washington, DC) in Apr 2015
Interview
Fairly straightforward --- phone screen by HR, and in person interview with four employees. They seemed to really just be looking to make sure I was the right personality fit, since the initial screen showed I had the correct experience. Questions were really just standard interview questions, like discussing my background, my interest, my comfort with ambiguity, and travel.
