The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Amazon Web Services (London, England)
Interview
Interview process was a combination of technical interviews and behavioural interview. All interviewers were very friendly but I didn't get a lot of time at the end of each interview to ask questions. In hindsight, I did notice my answers could have been more concise to focus more on the impact of my work/experience, this would've allowed me to share the most important data with interviewers and have time to ask questions. All the questions are pretty much already on Glassdoor .

Question 1
Technical Interview - Describe the most complex technical challenge you have solved and how did you solve it. - What happens when a URL is entered in the browser? This question is testing your understanding of the DNS process which is what I described in my answer. I was asked this question in both my telephone interview and loop. - Difference between L4 Load balancer and L7 load balancer - How would you troubleshoot performance issues in 3-tier architecture - Tell me about a time when you implemented a security solution - how/what did you implement - One question on RAID and RAID levels - I didn't know the answer so moved on quickly from this - A question on different response codes - 400/500 errors. - Different OSI/TCP-IP layers - Difference between HTTP and HTTPS - Virtualisation - what is it? Behaviour Interview All questions were around Amazon LPs. - Tell me about a time when you received negative feedback - Tell me about a time you went above and beyond for a customer - Tell me about a calculated risk you've taken where speed was critical. How did you handle the situation and risk? What was the outcome?
Loop style with 5 to 6 interviews conducted over one or more days. At least one interview with hiring manager, one with a bar raiser and rest with people in similar roles.
Phone interview with hiring manager and HR.
Behavioral questions with AWS principal focused.
They are positive and human-centric but I failed at this stage unfortunately.
In short, the process is good and smooth
Followed standard Amazon corporate process
1. Online assessment
2. Phone screen
3. The Loop (5x 1 hour interviews)
While the loop was challenging to prepare for and present, the interviewers were friendly and supportive.
