Was contacted by a recruiter. We talked about the opportunity and concluded it was of interest. That was followed by a phone interview with a senior member of the team. A few weeks later I went for an in-person interview. To my surprise that was a rather disappointing experience as most of the interviewers did not even know what the functional responsibilities of the position they were interviewing for were or how they related to that particular position. I thought that was unprofessional and exposed a few integrity and cultural issues that they seem to have. They seemed miserable to me. The red flag was seen in the morning when waves of employees would walk in and hardly any of them would greet the front desk agent. I found it rather rude, and that is an indicator of the culture there. It is not the worst, but it certainly made me lose a lot of respect for Amazon based on this experience as I expected them to have much higher standards, instead seems to be below average much like the products you purchase there.
