Interview
I received an automated message after application saying that 'they like what they see' and then I had a call with the internal recruiter at the time scheduled. The internal recruiter was in a rush, not very keen to do his job right and create a nice atmosphere. He was ironic at times in his tone.
They did a great job of checking to see if my skills matched the role and if we were a good culture fit. The whole process was open and transparent and as enjoyable as an application process can be.
There were 3 main steps in the interview process:
1. Initial interview with HR
2. A skill assessment
3. Get to know other members of the team
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazee Labs in Dec 2014
Interview
There are three "interviews" in addition to a technical/aptitude evaluation.
If your resume passes the initial review, your first touchpoint is the hiring manager.
If your interview goes well, you then talk to the CEO.
If you pass the CEO's review, then you meet the team onsite at the office over lunch.
Amazee is pretty great at communicating throughout the hiring process. They made sure I knew next steps, and when to expect each, after each touchpoint.
