Before you interview you will take a written fire and EMT exam developed by the department. The interview is a board made up of 4 or 5 firefighters from each shift A, B & C. Chief is also present in the room as well as HR rep. The Board will ask a series of questions to which you are expected to respond in a thought provoking manner. After all questions are asked and the board feels comfortable with moving forward you will be asked to complete a hands on task which will gauge either your fire or medical competence.
